Assistant Company Manager Vacancy

MPAA are looking for:

Self-motivated and highly efficient Assistant Company Manager required for part time work within a full-time Performing Arts Academy based in North London for immediate start. To work on a part time basis of 4 hours a day, with some flexibility, within the hours of 14.00 and 19.00 according to timetable needs.

Duties will include:

Day-to-day administrative tasks at MPAA, including answering phones, taking messages, replying to email enquiries, fielding emails, taking inventory.
Communicating effectively with students & staff
Assisting with administration of shows/external events/auditions
Production assistance including prop/costume sourcing, scheduling, coordination and distribution of scripts/scores
Regular and ongoing contact with suppliers, production teams, licensing companies and theatres/external venues
Assisting the Company manager with administrative tasks including liaising with University partnership, UWL
Assisting in the organisation of end-of-term assessments for students, in liaison with faculty
Being a key holder for the building with a responsibility for securing the building when required.

The ideal candidate should have excellent command of the English language, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & GSuite, be organised and able to work on their own initiative. A background in theatre/dance would be useful but not essential. Successful applicants would receive on the job training in online contact management systems and various IT packages so an aptitude for learning is essential.

An awareness of social media platforms

Desirable requirements:

DBS checked (will be DBS checked on appointment if not)
First Aid trained (MPAA can support on appointment)
