Griffin Jenkins is an American music director and actor-musician based in London. He trained at Mountview and the Bridge TTC and has worked widely in America and New Zealand. Griffin is often seen as a performer in settings from classical choirs to TV comedy. He has just returned from being assistant MD of Kinky Boots with Norwegian Cruise Line. In 2022, he premiered the new musical The Brontës and MD’d Five Guys Named Moe, winner of Best Production in the London Pub Theatre awards. Some favourite credits include American Idiot (Twin City Squared), Bat Boy (Celebration Theatre), Big Fish (Papakura Theatre), Mr Burns (Mountview), and Heathers (NSMT) for which he won NAPTA and ACTT Awards in New Zealand.
Griffin is also an award-winning linguist and music writer, focusing on Yiddish opera and lyrical interpretations of the 1960s ‘British Invasion.’
