Thomas Mitchell

Tom is a Musical Direction and Coaching graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, and a graduate of the University of Leeds in MMus Music Performance.

In London, Tom has recently worked as Music Assistant for Fiddler on the Roof at Regent’s Park. Other credits include Audition Pianist for the Bridge Theatre’s Guys and Dolls and Music Associate for Sound of the Underground at the Royal Court Theatre.

Tom has been mentored by some of the industry’s most renowned figures including Martin Lowe and Mark Warman. At the Academy, Tom has provided orchestrations and keyboard programming for a revue of the works of Cy Coleman, music directed an adapted project version of Come From Away, and provided keyboard programming and rehearsal piano for Into the Woods. Tom has also been coaching students on the Junior Academy Musical Theatre programme.

In Leeds, credits as Music Director include Legally Blonde and new works Shackleton and 68, for which Tom also provided orchestrations. Credits as a Keyboard Player and Rehearsal Pianist include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, West Side Story and Sweeney Todd.

Also an accomplished Drummer and Percussionist, Tom’s show credits include In the Heights, Rent, Into the Woods and Chicago.

Tom is currently working as Music Associate and Keyboard 2 cover on the West End production of Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder.
