Dax O’Callaghan trained at the legendary Sylvia Young Theatre School and established himself as a professional performer from an early age. At just ten years old, he played the lead role of Gavroche in Les Misérables in London’s West End, before making history as the first performer to play The Artful Dodger in Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Oliver! at the London Palladium. By the age of sixteen, he had appeared in over 70 television commercials and held leading roles in major TV dramas including EastEnders, Casualty, Hope & Glory, Trial by Jury, and The Knock. Alongside his acting career, Dax developed as a trained dancer, performing with global artists including the Spice Girls, Sugababes, and PJ & Duncan. He appeared on Live & Kicking and toured Europe in his early teens before joining world-renowned choreographer Wayne Sleep as a featured dancer in the production DASH. At sixteen, he became the youngest choreographer ever to teach full-time at London’s iconic Pineapple Dance Studios — a record that still stands.
